About Us

Classon Candle Company is an independent lifestyle brand founded in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY. We specialize in high-quality, hand-poured scented candles. Our complex scents are inspired by the natural world and how we as humans experience it. 

We love our community, and as a small business, we know how important it is to stay engaged. We are a queer-owned-and-operated business and donate a portion of every sale to charities focused on community enrichment, LGBTQ issues, immigrant/refugee issues, and environmental conservation.

All our candles meet the following criteria:

• made of 100% vegetable wax
• made with safe, sustainably sourced, and rigorously tested fragrances
• gluten, phthalate, paraben, and cruelty-free
• vegan

 

About our Founder and Nose

Noel (noh-ehl) Stevens is a writer, classically trained chef, and Nashville native, Noel moved to Brooklyn in 2019 to escape a city overrun with rowdy bachelorette parties.

Passionate about the need to find serenity in daily routines, and disillusioned with the service industry, Noel decided to channel his knowledge of flavor and aroma into creating scents for the home. He launched Classon Candle Company in 2023 aiming to create unique, evocative candles and give back to social causes he cares about (and hopefully feel a little less hopeless about the world in the process).
